Carol Ann Rich, of counsel, joined the firm in November 2004 after 18 years as a practicing attorney in the Virgin Islands and 15 years as a partner at Campbell, Arellano & Rich. Rich received her J.D., magna cum laude from Wayne State University. She is admitted to practice in Michigan (1981), Florida (1984) and the Virgin Islands (1986).
In her 18 years of practice in the Virgin Islands, Rich has specialized in complex commercial litigation, appeals and business bankrupty/reorganizations and workouts. In 1999, Rich acted as Moderator, panel speaker and coordinator, along with the Honorable Marjorie Rendell, Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Honorable Joseph Cosetti, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, and the Honorable David Butler, U.S. Trustee for Region 21, for the Bankruptcy Basics Seminar, a program designed to make the bankruptcy process more accessible and understandable to the Bar and the VI financial and business community. Rich has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the nation's largest organization of insolvency professionals, since 1999.
Rich served as a member of the VI Committee of Bar Examiners from 1989 1992, and as Chair of the Committee on Continuing Legal Education from 1994 1996.
