A native of Kansas City, Douglas C. Beach was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1980 and the Virgin Islands Bar in 1994. He holds a bachelor's degree from Pittsburgh State University, Pittsburgh, Kansas and a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Kansas.
Beach has practiced all phases of litigations in both local and federal courts in Kansas and the Virgin Islands. His practice has focused on environmental law, product liability, aviation, civil rights, personal injury defense and commercial litigation. For seven years he was a partner in the law firm of Beach & Hanson in Kansas City before moving to the Carribean.
